Meetup January 3, 2007

Our next meetup for coffee and/or breakfast will be January 3, 2007 (10:00AM) at the Chimacum Cafe in Chimacum, Washington.

This will be an opportunity for interested riders to learn more about the Star Touring and Riding Association, and meet some of the folks you might be riding with in the future. This will be our second meetup, and we hope to see some more new faces this time.

In the meantime, have a Merry Christmas...Happy New Year... and ride safe.

Meetup for breakfast

We had a meetup at the Denny's on Kitsap Way in Bremerton on Saturday, December 2nd for coffee and breakfast. It was an opportunity for riders to get to know each other, and find out more about Star Touring and Riding.
Pete and Sue Inman, John Galle, Richard Huff, and Doug Mountjoy spent a couple hours enjoying the company and conversation, and made plans to get together in January for another meetup at the Chimacum Cafe. As soon as I verify the date (2nd or 3rd) and time, I will get it posted here. We hope to have a larger gathering this time, so keep it in mind, and be there if at all possible.
Doug was the only one who showed up at Denny's on his scooter. The rest of us had major excuses (something about snow and cold, I think) that will never be used again in 2006.

If you are in the Bremerton area, stop by The Brothers Power Sports, and check in with Dan Zapatka or Adam Carslin if you need something for your bike...or just say hello.

First official meeting

Our first official meeting will take place at 0900 on the third Saturday of January, 2007 at Brothers Power Sports in Bremerton, Washington. Our charter will be signed at that time, and Chapter 403 will surge into existence.

We are currently in the process of getting the word out to potential members of the STAR Touring and Riding Association, and we hope to begin our existence with as many family oriented riders as possible.

This organization was created to recognize owners of the Yamaha STAR motorcycles, but membership is not limited to Yamaha. Any motorcycle enthusiast is welcome to join, and we encourage them to do so.

Our current point of contact is Pete Inman (360) 385-4899.
